Little eye candy for ya, chicks. This is what my dining table looks like today with all the roses I'm making. These are for sale on my etsy or my selling blog LaMaisonRose. Not expensive at all.

I had Love Bunny home today so he agreed to do some "honey-dos" for me. We bought some stone to "widen" the patio a bit. For two people it should be large enough but with all the stuff we have leftover from our old house it clearly isn't enough room out there. In our old house we had 3 huge patios so when we moved here I had to sell a lot of the wicker and wrought iron stuff. Just too much for here. But I still wanted a bigger patio here after they finished construction but hubs doesn't want to redo the sprinkling system and I can understand that. Hence, we're just adding stones and not interfering with the system.
Love Bunny walking to his shed. Not bad for almost 70 years old, huh? He certainly can light my fire!! ;-)
Could someone please tell me why men have to have shops, sheds and/or storage units for things they will never ever use again?
That bicycle hasn't been used for at least 3 years and then only a time or two but he haaaaaad to have it. It's at least 10 years old now. Sigh...
See those fishing poles up there? I cannot tell you how old they are and he hasn't used any of them for at least 18 years.
I had to read it twice, than I had to go to your etsy shop to verify what I was seeing. My goodness, when I first came here I thought...'wow, those flowers are just gorgeous'..I'm stunned. I thought they were real! Seriously! You got one awesome talent girl.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was adorable what you said about hubby...too cute. You got the passion in that marriage girl.
I won't comment on the garage and hubbies..it will make me want to get out to my hubby's 'man cave' and start doing some tweaking and rearranging.....grrrrrrrr..ok, off that topic,,LOL
Connie, I'm sure that's a photo of my husband's workshop! Like your husband's it is full of 'things', that are of course never used but just might one day come in useful!
ReplyDeleteLove that precious old school desk! Can't wait to see what you do with it!
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Hi HI.
ReplyDeleteI also love your little desk!
You should see the top of my DH's dresser.........LOL
He's a farmer, we live on a farm.....can you imagine how much junk..ere I mean farming tools and needfuls he has? :-D
Love the roses. You ARE a woman with talent.
Enjoy your day.
Mercy
You are seriously so talented, Connie. Those flowers are unbelievably real.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh when I saw the photos of your shed! It looked like our shed and unfinished area of our basement. We have gone through our shed and de-cluttered it so it looks better but the basement is a huge job. Hubby found financial records in boxes going back to when we married (1974!!!). He is in the process of shedding them. I didn't even know that we had kept them. We are going through boxes one by one and deciding what to throw out, give away or donate to Good Will. So much stuff we haven't used or touched in years. We also spent the last two summer fixing up our garage. I won't even mention the closets that haven't been touched in years. That won't be started until next year. Good luck with your patio extension. I bet it will look beautiful when done.

ReplyDeleteLove that cute little desk, can't wait to see what a beauty it turns out to be. Love and hugs, Pat
Hi, Connie,
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are pretty as can be. You do such a great job making them. And your honey, looks very good, and he reminds me of my dad who always had several fishing poles around. He only used one, but he was always on the lookout for another!! He loved to fish, and I was his fishing partner. Enjoy your week, sweet friend! Vicki
Your roses are very pretty and I love how your embellished your T-shirts. Thanks for sharing your great ideas.
ReplyDeleteDeb :)
Oh your flowers are to die for! I love them! Your hubs is darling and I am so smiling at the pictures of him and his shed! Hee Hee... I can't imagine that you could possible have much cleaning to do, your house always looks really nice, but hope everything gets really spiffed up! Oh and I am going to check out your flower shop!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Olivia
your flowers are gorgeous Connie! I love that first pic of them, so fresh and "springy"!
ReplyDeleteHi Connie, you have really got me laughing over the shed mess. (excuse the insult) Ours is the exact same mess. It used to be messier but I spent 3 hours one afternoon trying to straightened it up. A futile effort believe me. I did manage to get some mess from the garage to the shed. that was worth it all. Looking forward to your extended outside patio.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are so pretty. I mean roses. You have done a great job on them. Of course, if I buy anything else to add to my chaos my dh might leave me. HA!!!
Enjoy your day.
Hugs, Jeanne
Hi Connie,
ReplyDeleteYep, your garage looks just like mine LOL.
We spend last weekend cleaning ours out and packing it up for our move,Gary and I just had to laugh at ourself's we have so much "stuff" and so we are going to have a garage sale...
Take care and enjoy your day,
Hugs, Elizabeth
Are you sure that is YOUR SHED & not my hubs? Oy! I go bonkers w/my hubs mess/collection. My hubs said, re tea gathering luncheon, 'don't take them thru the garage', when I told him to clean up the mess ... harumph! Needless to say, the garage got cleaned.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are gorgeous, Connie. You are so talented.
Anxious to see your patio additions.
Have a great week.
TTFN ~ Hugs in love, Marydon
I guess they are like us gals, they have their stuff they can't part with and we have ours! :0) I'm glad that he still lights your fire! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my new blog! It's good to be back!
:0) Shar
Those roses look so real!! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your picture and comment about why do husbands save things that they will never use again. Be glad your husband doesn't has a hobby of rebuilding vintage cars....mine saves every seat, every screw, every tire that he takes off a car. I can't figure out why he doesn't throw them away or sell on ebay,he buys new parts to replace the ones he took off, but he won't throw away the old part, it just goes somewhere in a shed or garage, then when he runs out of room, its time to build or buy another shed..... ok, I am working myself up right now, I will stop....LOL

Connie, I seriously thought those were real flowers! lol!! Great job on those!
ReplyDeleteI know all about hubby's and their "collections". Whats a girl to do?
xoxo Heather
Just had to take the time out to tell you how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE those sweet pink roses you sent me! What beautiful things your hands create my pink lovin' friend. How you have blessed me.
ReplyDeleteMy little blurb on my post was soooo undeserving of something so lovely.
My heart thanks you just the same.
xoRebecca
some of us have that "use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without" mentality.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I save this stuff - and then I forget about it. Throw it away? I'll need it the next day!
I thought those roses are real. They're beautiful! You're very creative. Well, your husband's storage shed is just like any man's storage shed I've seen. Storage sheds are really meant for the no-longer-used items. I think it needs a little rearranging or should I say a total reorganization. Good luck with that!
ReplyDeletePhew, I am so glad other people have sheds like my garage.! I am the culprit here though!
