I just can't seem to throw out a glass jar anymore, no matter how hard I try. I keep decorating them in hopes of selling them soon but I'm so busy I can't seem to find the time to list them somewhere. But it calms me to just sit in my studio and make them. Maybe someday...
And just threw this together. A little shabby chic ragged flower with a covered button. I loved making this. I think I'll wear it on a jacket instead of a t-shirt since I'll just pin it instead of sewing it on.
Good morning sweet friend! You have inspired me! During my cupboard cleanout I trimmed up a lace jar and hot glued some faux flowers to it. I love your pretty label you used on the outside! I hope you have a lovely day, Hugs, Olivia
Very clever and pretty Connie. You are the ultimate recycle queen!!!
If you have a moment please come over and leave a comment for my grandson. I posted about his birthday today and he will be loving the comments. Just being the grandma and begging!!!Laughing.
Connie, you are so talented and like you, I can't make myself throw out jars. If my aunt can't use them,I try to think of ways to use them in my craft room. I like our idea of decorating them for tea light candles. The flower is so cute. I made one out of suede with my sizzex. Guess I should post it. Love and hugs, Pat
Hello Connie, I'm still making my Pink Saturday visits. Thankyou so much for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment. I love your post this week. Your makover on the jars are so pretty! I love colors of your paper roses on your previous post. They are stunning! Love ya, Shirl Shirls Rose Cottage
Your bottle is gorgeous, Connie. I was so thrilled with my first bottle I did a couple weeks ago. Now I wouldn't think of EVER discarding a bottle ... it is fun.
Have a great weekend. TTFN ~ Hugs of love, Marydon
Connie it is so funny- I had clicked on your blog to come visit and while it was loading clicked on my yahoo mail to check it and saw you note left- We were thinking of each other at the same time!
Your glass jars are just the sweetest!! I found a jar thrifting for 50 cents - I think I might have to try something like this with it!
Happy Pink Saturday COnnie Sweetie... I love this post and what beautiful pinks you have today. I love the way you decorate the jars. Recycling is such fun. I love the little pieces of rick rack that you also added, what an element of surprise.
Love your little pin that you have made to wear on a dress, jacket or shirt. So cute. What a pretty button it makes. I know people must stop you and ask you where you buy these beautiful little surprises of yours. So pretty.
Thank you for asking about my health. I thought it was just a cold, but Wednesday I found out it is pneumonia. I am on antibiotics and prednisone, some heavy duty cough syrup to surpress the cough, it has worked up my asthma something fierce. I have coughed so hard I pulled a chest muscle that is causing spasms across my chest and up into my neck. Very painful for now. I am still running 103 fever today, so resting as much as I can, but wanted to visit a few blogs while I was up.
Have a beautiful May Day sweetie. Have a day filled with happiness and sunshine. Country hugs and much love...Sherry
I really wanted to be beautiful and sexy but got stuck with being humorous and shapely instead. My dream job is Tech Writer. Yes, I said Tech Writer. I am a techie! Such is life. But I am truly a blessed chick. I left the corporate world of California in 1991 to live a more serene lifestyle and haven't regretted it for one moment. I have been married to the same man since 1961. We have 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-granddaughters. I live my life in exclamation points!
I love blogging and sharing thoughts on life, my life, ramblings and gorgeous photos. There are no politics on this blog. I speak of my religion sometimes but that's it for religion, and there will never be ads on here. I want this blog to be a serene and celestial place for you, my readers, to enjoy and rest from the frantic pace of the world. I hope you do so with all my heart. I also have a huge amount of eye candy on here. I'm rarely boring.
