Can I Live Without These?!

I was chatting with hubs this afternoon and was wondering out loud at one point: can I live without some of this stuff? The answer is obviously "yes", but then again would I want to pass it up and never see it again? Nuuuuuuu, so I may be buying some of this stuff soon. Not a lot just a thing or two.

Pink eggs? Yep!

Bunnies and chicks togetherrrrRRRrrrrr!!! My favorites......uh hmmmm, and which my ebay group will understand a little bit better in the next month or so. *Wink*

Anybody paint candles like this???? Let me know and you've got a sale, chickee....I seriously want some polka dot candles.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeal, is this not gorgeous for those packets of Equal????

Okay, let's get real about these plates. I don't know about most of you but if I put my food on a plate like this my tablecloth would be a disaster even more so than usual. It usually ends up on the cloth without any holes in the plate or even better yet, my chest! So how in the world do you put food on there without it dripping through. I'll pass on these plates. Not practical for a slob........ME.

I'm getting ideas for a cute gift here, little cherubs. *Wink*

Cute...........

I don't know about where you live but if this was sitting on most porches it wouldn't be there for long. It's so cute but I'd be afraid the kids in the neighborhood would wanna steal it......and I live in a GOOD neighborhood!

Gorgeous planters.

These are what I'm giving serious consideration to buying. How could I NOT buy pink beads for a jar–even for just eye candy?!

These have given me another idea for gifts. I don't know if I'll ever get to it though. Too much else going on in this chick's life, ya know........*Sigh*............

Papering the China Cabinet

I've been wanting to do something to the china cabinet we bought 3 years ago but just couldn't figure out what and didn't have time. I do now, chicks! I'm using some paper I got at Michael's for 7/$1.00 and gluing it to the back of the upper part. This is just to figure out how much I'll need. What think you, my sweet cherubs? Is this pretty pink gonna cut it? Don't panic; it's not glued in there yet and is dropping through the shelves. I'll remove the shelves and then do it. Probably finish it up tonight.

More Easter Bunny Eye Candy for Pink Saturday

Just a reminder for all you chicks out there looking at this post to be sure and check out my giveaway of a darling birdhouse on Jan. 16, 2009 blog post. If you've missed reading me regularly and are just reading my Pink Saturday post you might wanna check it out, ladies!!!!!!!

I also considered this wreath but it was the same problem and the fairies weren't included. What's a wreath without the fairies, I ask you?

Are these cute or what?! I may get some of these to hang in my office.

Or then again these would look great in my house also. Whadda ya think, chicks?! Hmmm..........

Hubs spent the day with me on saturday chauffeuring me around to Costco, the grocery store, Bed Bath and Beyond (where we bought a sheet to act as a cover for our new mattress and not slip off the ultra thick mattress. Cost: $30.00!! Sheeesh), and to JCPenney for a whirlwind shopping spree in there.

As I passed by the lamps–spotting one for 1/2 price of the $120.00–he dragged me away. I have to return something on monday...........guess what else I'll be looking at??? Yep, I plan on looking at those lamps seriously this time. I need new lamps to decorate, cherubs........ But I'm passing on these little beauties below even as cute as they are.

This was also given serious consideration. I love this one. Maybe I could just hang this one inside and not worry about it getting squished in the door. Yeaaaaahhhh, that sounds good to me. *Wink*

Beautiful as a grouping on a dining table.

More luscious faux pastries and green bunny dinnerware. Notice that the napkins are simply tied with a pink ribbon. Easy and quite lovely.

Have you ever seen such darling bunnies than on these plates.......chicks, too?!

I can just see the kids coming into this house with these on a table. They are already stymied by all my faux pastries. I think they wonder why I have all this stuff around and they can't eat it.

I really wanted this one. No dice. Won't fit.

So this is what I'm settling for. I can hang this on the front door after I paint it candy apple red and it'll look lovely I think and I don't have to worry about it covering up the peep hole or being squished or possibly even getting stolen. The door is a red now but not the Pratt and Lambert Cardinal Red, which is the truest red I've ever seen. So with a true red door and this flag it should be lovely and make a statement. Purple and red....yep, I like that. Plus I absolute adore Thomas Kinkade paintings. My daughter got one for me and I love staring at it from time to time. He's one of my favorites.

That's it for today. More in a few days.

My 500th Post Giveaway!

I've been busy, chicks. My craft room looks like a hurricane hit it after some rock star had a party in it! When I'm creating everything flies out the window but what I'm doing at that time. Trust me, it ain't purdy.

But I had to go to Boise today to buy some sheets for our new mattress. We've had it for about 2 months now and the bottom fitted sheet keeps coming off. Nuuuuuu, not what you're thinkin'! This is an NOT an R rated blog. But we've determined it's the new thicker mattress and the old sheets are not compatible. So I spent the morning looking for new sheets. Let me say here that trying to find just a single sheet is almost impossible any more. So I had to buy a "set" of queen size sheets. Actually, our top sheets are becoming frayed so it wasn't a big deal but just the thought of not having a choice riles me up. I'm now saddled with extra top sheets. And heaven forbid that anything as simple as WHITE should be available! I love just plain white sheets with a few colors thrown in. I also like good thread count and soft 100% pure cotton. But I found 5 sets that are really nice but only 2 sets are white. One is egyptian cotton which is the best I believe.

Anyway, while shopping for the sheets I found a chair. Now, I really don't need another chair but the metal folding chair I use in my sewing and craft room wasn't high enough for my vintage school desk for me to craft on. We're talking my "chest" hits the desktop and I feel like a kid sitting there. Lo and behold, I found this french blue wood and cane folding chair marked down from $100.00 to $22.00!! Never one to pass up a good bargain, into the cart it went. I also found 2 little plates that are adorable but I can't find them at the moment to photograph so they'll have to wait.
~*~

Now for the best part of what I was doing this afternoon and evening since Love Bunny had to go to a business meeting.

VoilĂ .......my latest creation. Roses, fabric, shimmery tinsel garland that looks like icicles draping over the edge of the little birdhouse and feather yarn around the bottom. My little chick is sitting on her little perch - all pink and wide eyed. This is the giveaway to celebrate my 500th post. All you have to do is leave a comment and a way to get in contact with you and this can be yours. I was going to keep it for a valentine swap but I've come up with another creation for that. I'll show you when she receives my swap. I think you'll like that item also. I'll draw a name on sunday and post it back here.
