Greenhurst Nursery #18

We come to the end of this nursery series and I've loved showing you a part of my state. Idaho isn't famous for very much - mostly potatoes and they do grow the absolutely best potatoes in the world over in the southeastern part of the state. Yes, there really is a difference in the taste of potatoes! However, we are also famous for ski resorts and cowboys. So let's begin the ending of this tour.
~*~

When I did my first photo shoot of the nursery this area was awaiting decorating and was pretty much bare. But it is usually the "centerpiece" of the store. I'm glad I went back to snap some more pictures for you to see it as it usually is but "with the seasons."

This also is the room to the right of the entrance that was bare and awaiting decorating. And what decorating it was. There has to be at least hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of ornaments in this room. Ornaments with very nice price tags......hundreds of dollars for just one ornament. If you enlarge some of the photos you can see a few of the price tags. Here's another "Charlie Brown" minimalistic" tree. It's adorable with its center pole white and green stripes.

Many Father Christmases..........most of them absolutely stunning.

Don't know who is the creator of these little ornaments but again, it's a "lime green" Christmas. Must be THE color of the season this year.

Enlarge to be "delighted"!! Look at the legs on those glittery goblets! I may have to get one next weekend.

Ooops sorry, these aren't in order because I meandered around that day to areas that weren't available during the first shoot. BUT if you love tropical or Hawaii type Christmases then this is the area for YOU!

Pillows with raffia ruffles!

Hula girls, pink flamingos (and we ALLLL know how I feel about pink flamingos!), syrupy cocktails in glasses, fish (fish??? Yes, FISH, but what colorful fish!), sea horses, dolphins, palm trees.........oooooh myyyyyy........

Here we go again with that lime green. Look at those shoes with the pink bows! Squeeeeeeal...... Pink and green everywhere. Aloha!!!!

Totes also.

Ahemmmm, back to the Mainland Christmas.......

This is what you first see now when entering the front door. Remember, the last time it was the halloween witch and display. Glad I came back to shoot one more time for you chicks!!!

Their revolving tree at the front door. It's very tall also.

Giddyup, ya cowgirls!

Oooops again, swinging back over to the tropical area.......

Okay, are you getting nauseous from all the going back and forth yet?? Well, hang on, it's almost over, chicks....

Look at this little music stand and the "legs"! No self-respecting stand would be without her high heels now, would she?!?!?!

A little round stand with just Christmas tree cookie jar and a furry snowman cookie jar and a green frog on a pink toadstool and lot of PINK ornaments on that tree that is one step up from Charlie Brown's.

The other side of the round stand.

Here's the little piece I gave you a "peek" at of awhile back. Do you remember that I posted a little "foot" to tickle your fancy and tease ya?!?! You are now entering the world of the pièce de resistance. Are these not absolutely adorable? Weeeellll then, look below............

Sarah!!!!! Oh, Sarah Palin!!!!!!!! Where are you? I'm shakin' in my high heels, chickees!! I gotta watch out for that moose huntin' chick! I think she has my name on that gun of hers. I think she's just jealous because I'm sooooo glamorous. Would ya just look at my high heel boots and my PinkkkkKKKK frock with the ruffles? And the ribbons on my feet.....uhhhh, I mean hooves. And my antlers??? Are they frou-frou or what!?! They'll hold candles but I ain't putting any in there till someone tells Sarah I'm not a moose. I'm a moosette with a roses garland around my gorgeous neck? Just call me Molly Roses Moosette! Yep, that's me, my sweet chickettes...... Okay, let's boogie on outta this place and put some dust behind us before Sarah sets her sights on me. I'm gonna "jingle" my bells for that chick! Do ya think she likes pinkkkKKKK?!?! I sure hope not or I'm toast. I'm sure she's just jealous of my outfit......or my chapeau or my HIGH HEELS.........

Yep, for a cool $1,900.00 you can take me home and I'll be yours forever! Just keep that gorgeous gun-toting chick away from meeeeeeeee! Squeeeeeeeeal!!!

Pink Saturday 12/6/08

Welcome to Pink Saturday.

Last week when my daughter and her hubby were visiting she and I took a day and went to the thrift stores. I found a few things and she did also. Howeverrrrrrrr, she paid about $4 for all her stuff. It didn't all fit in their suitcase so she had to mail it home. That cost her $12.50!! Can we say "did ya get a good deal, chickee??!! Nuuuuuu, totally wasted money. THEN when they went to the baggage claim the suitcase was taped with duct tape because it had popped its hinges!! She lost some books I had given her but nothing else. Can't you just see undies all over the S.F. airport? LOL Well, I can laugh; she wasn't! AND hubby and I told her it looked like it was going to pop. Forty-six years old, you would have thought she'd have learned to trust her dad and mom by now!! I am very sorry it happened though. Those books were really a cute read!
~*~

Okay, here's what I got. Three little candle lights. I was going to get pink bulbs but got the white instead because I plan on putting little shabby frou-frou shades on them and use them as window lights. How cute will that be! Can't wait to paint them and decorate them. BUT since the bulbs weren't with them I got one for free! I didn't even know they were supposed to come with the bulbs but I'll take that deal! Now, who in the world would steal little light bulbs out of the Goodwill lamps for heaven's sakes? But it got me one free so whatever........

I spied these big pink balls and almost flattened a lady to get to them. They had my name on them so they were MINE!!! If I hadn't gotten to them my daughter certainly would have intervened for me. She's 5' 11" and I'm 5' 4 3/4" and she's a pistol at getting what she wants even if it is for her motherrrrrr... So I'll cover them with decal roses and then glitter them and they will hang from the ceiling in my craft/sewing room probably.

My visiting teachers from church came wednesday and brought this for me. I love this flower. It always reminds me of Christmas and I've always thought of it as "majestic"! I'm not sure how hard they are to grow but we'll soon find out. I'm planting it in a vase today or tomorrow.

*Sigh*........my nemisis - cake plates. I pack really well, I truly do. Even the buyers say they are packed well, but I've had 2 cake plates on pedestals break on me. My daughter has shown me the key though this past week and we'll see how the next one makes it. I buy vintage plates so sometimes they are not replaceable. BUT I always make good on my sales to people. Sooooo I had to go find another plate and another unique pedestal to put on it. I had a vintage little sugar bowl and it was darling, but couldn't find another one so used something else for the base. But I did frou-frou it up with netting, ribbon and paper roses. She says that will do just fine - the buyer. I couldn't stand it if I didn't replace something someone has bought from me. Those roses are silk and do not come exactly cheap either. Oh well, I'll feel good knowing I made it good for the lady.

Now, for a little surprise if you've gotten this far in reading my posts. I've wanted to do a giveaway for a while and was thinking of doing it for my 500th post but decided in the spirit of this season I'll do it now with this little camera bag. Yessssssss, my little cherubs, a giveaway. This is a quilted camera bag with a single rose on it. It is velcro-ed to close it. I've used a similar one for my camera for about 2 years and it works well for me. Uuuuhhhhh, of course, no guarantee comes with it!! DUHHHH!!! But I have a Canon Powershot and it fits nicely in there along with the instruction booklet, charger, 2 extra batteries, an extra disk and the connection cord for camera to computer. It measures 7" wide x 9 1/2" long. I could even get a wallet in there. It can go over your head for carrying as I find that most convenient and don't worry about dropping it or getting it stolen. Hey, this is FREE!! Why am I extolling its virtues when I'm giving it away to some lucky person. I'll draw a name from a bowl on monday afternoon. All you have to do is comment on this post right here. Just leave me your email so I can get in touch with you if you are the winner. If you can't follow directions and do that then there isn't much hope for ya, chickees, so get to it!! ;-) LOL

Greenhurst Nursery #17

Have you ever thought of a black and white Christmas? Well, here's what it could look like if you DID. Exquisite. My friend and sister PRH chick, Stephanie, will squeal with delight on the bling in this photo. SteeeEEEppphhHHHHhh, are you listening?!?! Give mum smooches for me, honey...... She does love me the most, ya know! ;-) hahahah

Fur covered ornies that remind me of santa's helper's hats turned upside down

Polka dot and shell ornies........

More lovely clocks in this place. The middle on is huge.....

Steeeephhhhhh..........more blingggggg!

Eye popping glitzy bling.....

I would LOVE to have that chair in my living room!

I'mmmmm dreaming of a whiiiiiiite Christmas, just like the ones I used to knoooowww........

I absolutely love clocks so these are right up my alley..... even cuckoo clocks ornies....

You can display it just at Christmas, but I'd display it all year long.......

Did someone say "white" Christmas? How about "RED" Christmas????

Or a feather and/or grain Christmas??? Beautiful!

Father Christmas is about 4 feet tall here.

Another stunning lamp for hanging on the wall.....*Sigh*.......Lamps are a weakness of mine also.........

Years ago I was at work in my job and walked around alllll day long with an ink smudge on my upper lip. Cannot for the life of me figure how that happened but finally at the end of the day a woman told me. I always wondered why she didn't tell me about it when she first noticed it and saved me the embarrassment of walking around like that. I think she was not a true friend. This kind of says it all for me. Telling me about it when it happened as opposed to telling me at the end of the day that it had been on there all day would have saved me much embarrassment, but actually, I think she was the one who should have been embarrassed!

Lovely cabinet.

This was also bright true red. I could find a place for this in my craft/sewing room or my office/painting room I think......

This ain't yer same ol' "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree, trust me! It just sparkled even though it's "minimalistic"!

Okay, you'll have to enlarge this photo to see the "sticker shock" on these gorgeous little ornies. Hah

You would definitely have to be a "connoisseur" to collect these little expensive jewels!

Gorgeous and stunning!
