A few weeks ago I was taking a simple break from the stresses of housekeeping. BUT as we all know, I can NOT do nothing. I have to keep busy doing something or I'll grow old. ;-) So I took some little styrofoam balls and tied some netting and some pretty fabric around them to froufrou up the cheese and bread I was taking to an open house get together at a friend's house. Easy to do and looked elegant along with the tree topper centerpiece I used on the tray.
Then I went shopping with Love Bunny and bought him a new pink check shirt and 2 new ties. My man is the snappiest dresser in our neighborhood! I told him he can't lose if he lets me select his wardrobe. I love these 2 combinations together. They look really good on him. Girls, dress your man GQ and they'll love ya for it!
Cute Candies Sweet Pea :)
ReplyDeleteI STILL haven't mailed your gift yet, My Bad :( Will a hug do for now ?

Cute! I tried something similar for tree ornaments. That netting is slippery stuff to work with! ♥
ReplyDeleteGreat shirts, I agree, he can't go wrong if you are dressing him! I love the little clothespins you made!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

HAGD! Karen :)
Hello Connie, I have missed visiting your posts. I came home from five days in Atlanta on Sunday night. My cousin Bob, from MI. arrived only a bit later. I have been entertaining him since then. Today my sister took over the job. She is feeding him and entertaining him all day. Hooray, time on the computer. He is a bachelor and in his fifties. A fun guy who loves to play cards. We all enjoy his company very much.
ReplyDeleteFirst I have to tell you I love your pillow mosaic. Girl, you do have beautiful pillows. Mine are pitiful and not worthy of sharing. I am not a pillow person. Egads, a blogger who doesn't care about pillows. HA!
Your jazzed up package of cheese and bread is so pretty. You do have a talent for such things. I admire you for that talent. I know it was a big hit.
I do buy most of my hubby's clothes. I love your choices.
I better get visiting or I will never catch up.
Hugs, Jeanne
Your husband must look hot! Love the pink!
ReplyDeleteHi Connie,
ReplyDeleteI have the pillow that I bought from you when I first started blogging and LOVE IT!!! I gave one as a gift and kept one for ME!!
Love the shirts that you picked out for your hubby!
Warmly,
Deb :)
You have a good eye for style, Connie. Great combinations. Kathi
ReplyDeleteHi, Connie,
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing what crafty projects you are up to. Your husband will look very handsome in the shirts and ties you picked out, you did good! Have a lovely rest of the week, sweet friend! Vicki
Well my sweet chick you are absolutely right about dressing our men. I just love it when Punkin goes out and gets the eyes from women. You know THE look. And as for not admitting to "you know what", you are absolutely right again. I AM NOT OLD..I AM NOT OLD...I AM NOT OLD. Love ya girl, Mollye
ReplyDeleteI just love the ties and shirts you picked out for your hubby!! I enjoy doing that, too. And ya gotta love a man who wears pink!!!
ReplyDeleteIf I invite you to a dinner party would you make one of those beautiful creations for me?!!? You're the bomb, Connie!!! :)

I don't think I've seen the polka-dotted one yet on LB... I'll have to keep my eye out.
ReplyDeleteWhere or should I say how, are you using those clothespins? Did you crack open the modge podge? I might have to give them a try.
~Stacey
I love the shirts Connie, but I'm telling you right now that my cop hubby would never go for pink. I don't think he'd ever be confident calling for back up ever again if he did. LOL Maybe after he retires.
ReplyDeleteDid you ever hear of Darlene's NU 2U? That's where I got the old stove door. She had some awesome stuff, but I hear she has closed. I think she still has a booth in the antique world mall though.
Hugs to you and Love Bunny in his dashing new shirts!
You are the only person I know who could make clothes-pins look fabulous in a picture. You are amazing with that camera of yours,
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jo
I am so glad you came by for a visit! It's always nice to meet new people no matter what the hobby!
