Little Decorated Perfume Bottles for Pink Saturday

These little bottles were emptied long ago of their fragrant perfumes that I've loved. One was Michael Kors and one was a name I've forgotten it's been so long. Throwing them away wasn't an option because I knew I could do something beautiful with them. So recently during a long winter night I set about froufrou-ing them up after painting one top pink of course. Little snippets of left over lace too small to do anything with but something like this went on them. Buttons, ribbon, paper roses, pearls and flowers I printed off some images I've had for years are attached also. They will go somewhere in this house; I just can't say where at the moment.

Visit to Seattle

While over visiting our granddaughter recently before the birth of our great granddaughter in May, we of course had to go to Paneras. I don't think they are all over the country but are definitely in the northwest. Anyway, we had soup and salad and then one of these beauties: cinnamon crunch bagel. Talk about gooooood!!! These huge bagels are fantastic. Of course, we had to have cream cheese with chives on it also. If you ever have a chance to eat one I'm warning you: they can be habit forming so be sure and buy some to take home. They are the best things to pass my lips in quite a long time. Yuuuuummmmm...


It was rainy and foggy, which is pretty much the norm in that part of the country, but it is still beautiful. I absolutely love Washington in the western part of the state. The eastern part is simply desert, but that is beautiful, too; I just prefer the coastal areas. This is outside her breakfast area.

This is the pond to the left of the patio dining area. They have grass in winter but not summer. The people let it die out in the summer. Weird. Just the opposite of us here in Idaho.

Images From My Favorite Artist

A friend recently sent me a book that came as a huge surprise to me. This is one of her paintings below. I absolutely adore just about anything this woman paints.

In her book she has lots of images to share for scrapbooking and gives permission to be copied for our own projects so here are a few of her things to use for scrapbooking or to just sit and look at actually.

These little images could be cut out in the middle to put a favorite photo of a loved one inside.

This was the paper it came wrapped in. I squeeeeeeeealed when I saw it and knew I couldn't throw it away. Not sure what I'll do with it yet, but I'll find something to do with it. Maybe just frame it and put it on the wall. It isn't as though I didn't have a plethora of frames in which to mount it. :-)

Her roses look so simple to paint and they're beautiful. I may try painting like this one and see what I can turn out.

Beautiful Images For You #2

Today I thought I'd share some more images with you for a couple of reasons. First, I love to share things with other bloggers who may find them useful. Second, I seem to be in a bit of a funk. Oh, not a great one, just the time of year when we don't always get done what we'd like to. Running out to appointments. Today I start a physical therapy regimen for a tight muscle near the top of my left leg. I don't think it could possibly be that I sit at this computer more than an old lady should, do you? ;-) But with massage and PT it should be just fine soon. This also affects my back muscles which have never ever been strong. But, hey, I'm sounding depressing, am I not? Nuuuuuuu, I'm not depressed at all, just feeling at a standstill waiting to see what direction life, crafting or decorating will take me. I'm sure I'm the only one to have ever experienced this malady, right? :-) <---------- My perky smile! This is a card sent to my parents when I was born. Can we say antique or vintage? Yessssss, we definitely can. You may borrow it for anything your little heart desires.

I also have a plan for this lady. When it's done I just may try selling it on Etsy. I don't know why I don't do more of this type of thing. I end up giving most things away or taking them over to our granddaughter for the new baby. Love Bunny wants to have a garage sale in the spring and I think I'll gear and psyche myself up for it. It will take that long to get "geared and psyched."

The rest of these images are appropriate to spring and Easter. Feel free to use them or just enjoy the eye candy.

Since our granddaughter has painted the nursery walls lavender—one of her favorite colors also—I've been seeking things to make for the baby in those colors. This post highlights some of the things I've already boxed up to take over to her. You KNOW there will be more to come—or rather to go over to her, right?!

One of My Favorite Breakfasts For Pink Saturday.

Breakfast is not my favorite meal of the day. My mother loved to go out for breakfast, and I could never understand why. I much prefer going out for lunch or dinner; actually, both if possible when I can talk Love Bunny into it. But I usually have an english muffin for breakfast or a bowl of shredded wheat. The best muffins in the world are Thomas' English Muffins—bar none. I've tried many different ones that are less expensive but these are the best. They just have that yeasty smell and taste that sets my taste buds watering. The only ones that can come close are Franz which I think is a brand out here in the west—not sure, but they come 10 to a package as opposed to 6 for the Thomas' and Love Bunny said we need to economize. The nerve of the man! BUT if I have leftover mashed potatoes so much the better. I can pass up eggs with NO problem. I am definitely not fond of them. Now, if we really want to go all out then I'd settle for cinnamon rolls, a piece of pie, donuts or pastries and hash browns with Johnsonville brown sugar and maple sausages. OR french toast, pancakes or waffles. Yummmm.... What is your favorite breakfast?
