The rose garden is in bloom now with hundreds of roses all of a sudden. It's gorgeous!
It was a cloudy afternoon so I clicked on the flash to get truly good colors and to test how they would turn out. I'm very pleased with the results.
This looks like it's on its last leg, but it isn't. The color is pink with a yellow center. Just beautiful when viewed in person.

And since so many bloggers have emailed me asking to use some of my other roses photos, I'll let you use these without asking me but as a courtesy, if you do, please link back to me so as to share all of them with others. Thank you for your kindness and consideration.

And just guess what hubs is doing. At about 2:00 in the afternoon he set out what was for dinner that night! He's driving me nutty doing this. Sigh... I can whip this out about 2 minutes before I start to cook. I don't need to see it on my counter top all afternoon. Actually, this is the first time he tried that Tuna Helper. I had leftover spaghetti and he cooked this dish. It smelled up the house something awful. We had to spray freshener, open doors, turn on the fan over the stove, fan in the living room and wash the dishes before we could stand to breathe. That's the last time he gets that dish, trust me!
And can you believe when I went to the store to buy some more just regular plain old thumb tacks they didn't have any? All they had were these darling ones, but they're giant thumb tacks and I can use them, but really...no regular ones?!

Hi Connie,
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting me. I can see you love roses. They look so pretty against the pink background. They are beautiful enough to be on a postcard.

Gorgeous roses. Mine are at their best right now, and in the evening the perfume is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteConnie, you come up with such great things. I have never seen those tacks. I am the kind of shoper I go in, get my stuff and
ReplyDeleteleave. My Mom used to shop every isle, it drove me nuts. I must miss lots of stuff, always in a rush.

Oh Connie I just adore your roses !! I wish I could grow that beautiful of roses without black spot all over them ~ I am really diligent at trying to get rid of it too ~

Connie, Thanks for the pretty pictures of your roses. But the Tuna Helper put me over the edge! Ick, I tried it once... it doesn't even sound good to me. Hope your pasta was delish!!! It's going to be another hot one in Virginia so I guess we will just enjoy the pool and make the best of it. Have a great day.

Isn't it soooo much fun taking pictures of roses? I've filled several files this year as the roses were so beautiful in every stage of their blooming. Some of my favorites were in their decline...the color and shapes are amazing. Your white rose photo is picture perfect. Now about thumb tacks...what are they thinking these days about things like tacks, paper clips, rubberbands and the mousetrap? New and improved is not always as good as the old and proven...more fun to use...maybe!!!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are just amazing. Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my blog!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are so beautiful. I love your phot0s. Thank for sharing.

ReplyDeleteHi Connie :) LOVE your beautiful roses....I have a couple of rose bushes, but they never seem to do very well :( Hopefully one of these years they'll look as good as yours!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, warmest hugs to you, Brenda
Connie your roses are beautiful! I have three rose bushes and they bloom sporadically. I think I need to do something special for them. I planted them less than a year ago so maybe they are just trying to acclimate to their new home. Who knows, but I can't wait to have blooms like you have! they are gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteHey, sweets! Beautiful blooms you've got there! Love the white roses, too.
ReplyDeleteMum sends her love!
Can't wait to see what you share Friday at the WEDDING BLOG PARTY!
Love you,

Your roses are beautiful and you got some great shots of them. Funny about hubby setting out the things for supper... he must be super organized. We don't eat it very often, but I love tuna helper/ tuna casserole! Smell and all!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous roses - must be June! And I love the thumbtacks. Funny, isn't it, how hard it can be to find plane Jane office supplies any more.
ReplyDeleteThose tacks are cute! That rose with the yellow center is beautiful!

Good Morning, Connie....Your roses are just beautiful....mine are between bloomings, but I see buds on my Eden.....
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh, still laughing infact, about your hubs and the tuna and the smell....I have beaten my hubby with a wood spoon...well not really...to stay out of the kitchen. He is not too handy in there and I gave up on him ever becoming that way looooong ago. hehehe!
I know the thought counts and I loved the thought, but once, years ago, he wanted me to have breakfast in bed. I was asleep and did not hear him go down to the kitchen, but on the tray, when we woke me up, was a cup of tea with graham crackers and a little vase of flowers.....he said he could not find anything for breakfast..lol.....he is such a dear and does so much for me and around the house, I do not care that he has no kitchen talent....that is one of our little stores we chuckle about today.
Hope your day is fabulous!
