Breakfast is not my favorite meal of the day. My mother loved to go out for breakfast, and I could never understand why. I much prefer going out for lunch or dinner; actually, both if possible when I can talk Love Bunny into it. But I usually have an english muffin for breakfast or a bowl of shredded wheat. The best muffins in the world are Thomas' English Muffins—bar none. I've tried many different ones that are less expensive but these are the best. They just have that yeasty smell and taste that sets my taste buds watering. The only ones that can come close are Franz which I think is a brand out here in the west—not sure, but they come 10 to a package as opposed to 6 for the Thomas' and Love Bunny said we need to economize. The nerve of the man! BUT if I have leftover mashed potatoes so much the better. I can pass up eggs with NO problem. I am definitely not fond of them. Now, if we really want to go all out then I'd settle for cinnamon rolls, a piece of pie, donuts or pastries and hash browns with Johnsonville brown sugar and maple sausages. OR french toast, pancakes or waffles. Yummmm.... What is your favorite breakfast?
~*~
Now, I thought I'd share some images for you to use as you would like in scrapbooking or whatever. But remember when you print them to set your printer settings for them; otherwise, they could print out huge.

Hey Connie. Well you make english muffins sound so good I might have to try them. I never tried bagels until about 10 years ago. Love them now. My favorite is just a regular ham biscuit from Hardies or a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit from McDonalds. I know, lame but it must be from all those rushed breakfast pickups on the way to the office.
ReplyDeletePlease stop by. I have a surprise for you on my post "Friends Like You Bless Me".
Know I love you. Have a fun weekend. Hugs...Tracy :)
Happy Pink Saturday Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteI love Thomas English Muffins too, and yes it is the fresh yeast smell that makes them so darn yummy. Left over mashed potatoes, I thought I was the only one that loved those darn things. I love making potatoe patties out of them. They are the best.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful graphics for printing. You are such a jewel to share. I love it when you do.
Please stop by and let me share my pink post with you. Country hugs sweetie and so much love...Sherry
Pretty in Pink!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday~~
I am a cereal or protein bar girl in the morning..along with my coffee:)
Unless it is Sunday..special breakfast always on Sundays:)
Have a blessed weekend!

So different to the British breakfast of Cornflakes, toast and marmalade...or something fried.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I too am not a big breakfast person and prefer to have fresh fruit. A special treat would be pancakes.

I'm not much of a breakfast person either. It's not the time of day but the options that turn me off. My favorite breakfast is left overs from supper the evening before, or a toasted cheese sandwich. Lacking any of that, I will settle for a bowl of oatmeal, but only if it's filled with luscious blueberries!

Hi Connie! You're funny - mashed potatoes for breakfast! Breakfast isn't my favorite either. I like cookies for breakfast, but if I eat them it's all down hill from there. You're so right - lunch out is WAY better! Have a happy day! I enjoyed your blog today!

Ok Connie, now I'm hungry girl ha ha!! I don't do breakfast..but love to go out for lunch...Hope you have a GREAT weekend my friend...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeletePretty scrapbook pictures. I printed out a few of them last week and used 'em to cover my mannequin. I glued a whole bunch of pretty papers onto her and then polyurethaned over it all.
ReplyDeleteBreakfast, hmmm, I'd go for some of those sausages you mentioned, or French toast. Lately tho, we've been eating oatmeal. Sounds gross, I know. But, DH puts dried blueberrys in his and I use honey for mine with a little h-n-h. It's better than it sounds ;)
Have a good week, ya here?
Happy PS~
Hi Connie,
ReplyDeleteFavorite breakfast, well I guess I would say pancakes and bacon because I don't indulge very often. I would rather go out than make them myself. Haha!
Thank you for generously posting downloadable images.

Shhhhhhhhh, don't tell my friend Connie, but someone said I love breakfast... scrambled eggs with cheese, chives, pepper, that sort of thing, and garlic cheese grit souflee... sorry, I grew up "gritting" it. If truth be told and I could eat what I wanted, I would eat wonderful sugary sweet rolls with lots of ooey gooey icing dribbling down. OR best of all, a beignet (sp) from the French Market in New Orleans! Oh, my magpie heart is beating wildly thinking about their deliciousness and all of that lovely powdered sugar! Or pancakes with real maple syrup. Or quiche. Or...
ReplyDeleteBut I do chicken salad and lunch, too, Connie! So we're good to go!
Happy Pink Saturday to you, dear one...
XO,
Sheila :-)
P.S. If you like banana pudding... I've got some recipes on my blog!
Oh, and I loved ALL the graphics! Thanks for sharing! XO
ReplyDeleteI actually LOVE breakfast food, but I never eat it!
ReplyDeleteLove your Pinks! Happy Pink Saturday. Please don't forget to visit me. It will be your only chance to enter my giveaway.

Hi Connie..
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for not being able to visit you often, I was a bit busy lately.
I do love breakfast too, just a simple one, hot black coffee, toast bread & an egg! You should try some Malaysian breakfast such as 'Nasi Lemak' or rice in cream
with cucumber slices, small dried anchovies, roasted peanuts, hard boiled egg, and hot spicy sauce. It will be perfect to have it with hot coffee or tea :-)
Have a nice weekend
I used to like breakfast, but now with all the medicine I have to take, I can't eat in the morning. It's hard to even eat crackers to swallow some of the huge pills I have to take!!!
ReplyDeleteI do like the idea of those muffins, I haven't seen anything like that here though!!!
Cheers,
Margaret B
Hello Connie, Happy Pink Saturday! What a cute pink post you have this week. My favorite English Muffins are Thomas' too. They are great as a TV snack, toast them first, then a spoonful of tomato sauce then some grated motz. cheese. Broil in oven until cheese is browned. Delish. I don't like to eat breakfast either. I do love cream of wheat but not til I'm up for and hour or two. My favorite thing in the morning is coffee and a good crusty french bread with butter. Graphics are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to ya! Shirl

Ohhh~ Those images are sooo pretty! (Just like your blog!)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to use the last one, the one that looks like a china plate, print it out, cut it up, and use it like a mosaic on something..decoupage-like. I did a few things like that years ago..
Thanks!
Myrna
Hi Connie; I too love Thomas's muffins,, they are Delish.... mmmm I can taste them now... Have a great weekend...
ReplyDeleteHugs;
Alaura
I'm just a toast and jam girl (strawberry!). Now I do love eggs and pancakes for a quick supper with a tall glass of chocolate milk! Hmmm, I'm hungry now.
ReplyDeleteOh how I love that last pic in the round of the roses!!
Hope you are having fun!
Happy PS!

Hey Connie! I adore the pink roses...especially the fabric looking one. I love english muffins too and have always wanted to try to bake them myself, but haven't done it yet...one day =)
ReplyDeleteHello Miss Connie, I am not a breakfast eater either! I like breakfast for dinner!
ReplyDeleteI went grocery shopping {which I don't normally do ~~ hubby does that} and bought an off brand english muffin and hubby told me we only buy Thonmas'.... my mistake I was trying to economize! LOL
Happy Valentines day sweetpea,
