Happy Monday

Good morning, sweet chicks. I'm taking a break for a few more days because I fell on our icy driveway going out to the mailbox on Saturday. Yep, ol' light foot did it again. I landed on my right hip this time flat on my back again but didn't hit my head. I truly didn't even realize the concrete was icy. I'm guessing my left arm caught me because it hurts from the elbow area to under my armpit. ;-) I'm fine but still can't lift the arm to scratch my neck. I'll be back in a few day, but in the meantime, lift your spirits with this lovely eye candy I have for you. Today is a bright sunny but windy day here.

  3. Sorry about your spill. I remember when the worst part was the embarassment...at my age now, I don't care who sees me as long as I didn't break something or need stitches!! I hope you mend quickly!

  5. Oh Dear. What a terrible thing to have happened Connie. My own Mom did the same thing just about this time last year but she wasn't quite as lucky as you as she broke her hip and ended up in the hospital for a few days having hip replacement surgery. She's just fine now though thank goodness. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

    Take care.

  17. Dear Connie, I am so sorry to hear about your fall. Don't take a step outside without thinking about falling. Our bodies can't take a fall at ahem, our age. It could have been worse as you say, but the pain in your arm should be watched. I too slipped in the snow but since it was very deep and I fell sideways I wasn't hurt, just mad!!! HA!
    Take care and rest up.
    Warm hugs, Jeanne

  20. Okay dear Connie ~ I am going to make you a snowsuit out of bubble wrap to keep you safe!! I did the same thing last month, slipped and fell on my back and hit my head. Didn't cause any harm I don't think ~ but then how could anyone tell? It could have caused some mental confusion or it just could be another one of my "blonde moments"!

    Lots of love,

  24. Mercy!, my friend!! Do take care of that injury, hope it heals quickly.

It was one of our more lovely trips to Europe to spend time in G'ma Maggie's birth place ... Ireland. What a trip that was. Did you cross the Vee? Beyond ones imagination the beauty your eyes behold. We did the whole country ... fabulous greens to behold that one cannot imagine. I lived in Hawaii, not impressed, took 10 years to go back after living there 3 yrs. just a nice short vacation place.

Great post ... prayers for quick healing.
    Have a beautiful weekend ~
    TTFN ~
    Hugs, Marydon
