Thoughts on Christmas

Last sneak peek of the Pink and Roses Christmas tree. It will post tomorrow.
~*~

A few varied thoughts for this season.

Blue is a gorgeous color for Christmas or New Years. Very regal.

A rusty old tin can with a handmade sign on it filled with artichokes or even pomegranates or avocados.

Red plates!! Squeeeeeeeal...

A very simple, yet thoughtful, bracelet made from a ribbon and faux pearls.

And wrapped elegantly with white tissue in a lovely sentimental box.

Bright red ribbons on weathered boards.

Reminding me of fences that might need mending in my life. ;-)

Our first great grandchild. Our granddaughter posing for her 4 month old baby in the womb. It is a baby, you know. Not some thing that can be obliterated because it's not wanted. Plus I applaud her modesty in posing. So many women today are posing with their pregnant bellies exposed to all the world. For this family, it is a sacred event. New life. To display it for all the world to see to me is not the thing to do. I believe this should be between a husband and wife, not to show to all the world until the beautiful baby comes into this world. But that's just me. Modesty abounds in this house, which is a house dedicated to the Lord.

Just a small little tree I placed near an etagere in our living room with fuchsia balls on it.

  2. Connie....
Oh My.... I was reading your post about the pregnancy & I thought I was the only one who has gotten sick n' tired of seeing "bellies" on full display. When I had my children a lady was respectful of the pregnancy. We wore bloused tops & were feminine..... Oh well that is just me.
    Great Post!!
    Happy Holidays!
    Love,

Congratulations to you and your family on such a blessed event. It would be so wonderful to have a new addition to our family. I just love sweet little babies. Not that anyone in my family needs or should have one. LOL.

  9. Love modesty! Love your granddaughter in her sweater dress... she looks so cute!!! You know, I cannot stop thinking about you and your world of PINK. Everytime I go out shopping, I see something you should have. Yesterday I saw a beautiful little serving platter... with pink roses...and the word "love" scattered around the plate... very vintage and feminine looking. You just might make me cross over to the pink side one day soon!

  10. Connie you has just the right touch for gorgeous color. Your tree will be breathtaking. Congrats on the upcoming new blessing. All this hullabaloo on abortion makes me sick to even hear about it. Thank goodness we still have the freedom to make a moral choice. I see more and more blue only Christmas displays than ever. I love it.

  19. Connie, can't wait for the reveal---it's Thursday, but I guess you are sleeping, where I should be.
Oh Thank You so much for the bellie comment. I have seen too many tight and exposed bellies to make me puck. Girls around here wear clothes so tight you can see their belly button sticking out---UGH! I won't even walk around without a bra in front of my children---modesty is practiced in our house also.
I love the feathery tree. Guess I'll have to go home and put out a few things for Donnie's visit. Love and Hugs, and many Blessings on your future great grandchild. Pat
