Family Room Entry Redo

Yep, when hubs leaves town I have to do something to keep busy, and I've had this idea in my head for a long time. Actually, our home in California had this in our living room entry into the dining room also. I've got sooooo many panels of lace that I won't need to shop for the next 20 years anyway, gals. I put these gorgeous lace panels with scalloped edges on my entry into the family room on the dining room side. I put them up with upholstery tacks, screwed cup hooks into the wall on each side, tied the curtains with grosgrain ribbon and hung them. The panels are 95" long so I had to tie them back to get them out of the way a bit. I like the effect. It's a very romantic feel to the area now. I'm never ever done with this home. Sheeeesh......... Don't fret; hubs is used to it now!

  4. You've been a very busy girl, Chick! Love Bunny will be hopping back soon, right?

    Miss the RED on Sunday!

Almost done with Miss Is' room. Almost. Moved my desk from out of the loft and into my OFFICE. Checking out fab/paint today so I can get started on that in between coats of chocolate to finish Is' closet doors. It's a new style I'm inventing on the fly, I call it Mod-Shabby. lol

  7. Connie,

What an ingenious idea! It does tend to give the entryway to the livingroom a sense of drama and lends itself to softness as well. Do I sound like a decorator or what??? NOT.

  15. Connie, that looks so fab and romantic. I just adore every thing you do with so little. I can't wait until I can have my bedroom back and pink it all up, but with the way things are going, my dream may be put on hold. My siblings just don't want to do anything about selling our parents home, but won't let me move in it either.
Big Hugs and thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. Pat

  18. Hi Connie,
I love what you did with the lace on the entry way. What a great idea!!! I have a entry way like that going from my living room into my dining room & hated putting a curtain rod all of the way across. You are such a romantic gal!!!
