Froufrou Friday #4 8/27/2010

Inspiration finally struck.

Remember this post here? Well, Love Bunny dragged me off to the wilds again so I had to wait until we got back to do something with these tin pots. I decoupaged them with some old flowers decoupage I've had for years and then added a little clay rose I made. Add a bow and voilĂ , how vintage shabby french cottage can we get here?!

I just have to make some more roses for the other pot and decide where they'll go in this house. I'm quickly running out of space!

Cupcake Flops

Have you ever heard of cupcake flops? Well, you have now. This is a batch of faux cupcakes I made recently that I didn't get the icing recipe quite right and they sort of look like the icing was sliding down. Now, I'm going to sell these at a very low price— not ridiculously low—just a very low price for cupcakes. If you want them, let me know. All 5 of them, plus the little round red and white "plate" they are on will be $15.00 plus shipping. That's $3.00 a cupcake plus I'm throwing in the little stand with them. I've tried to show all sides and all my mistakes (Trust me, the others don't look like this but they won't be this cheap since I'm seeing one cupcake on ebay for $15.00 to $25.00!) I'm guessing shipping would be about $5.00 but I can't be sure as I don't know where they will be going. The designer cups I found and haven't seem them anywhere else so you have originals. Flops taste just as good as the regular ones anyway. ;-) (Noooo0, these are definitely not edible.) And you can tell all your friends you got this from a crazy blogger. Now, doesn't that sound enticing enough to want them? Hmmmmm?! And yummmmm!!

Pink Saturday 8/14/2010

Welcome to Pink Saturday once again. Please visit all the participants at Beverly's How Sweet The Sound by clicking on the pink logo below:

With the request from Beverly to visit with new bloggers I've never visited with before, this past week I visited with Donna at Conghaile Cottage, Rebecca @ Shabby Pink World, Terry at My Antique Attic and Laura at Laura's Rose Garden. Go visit with them. I think you'll like their blogs.

Just browse what I've been doing lately. Making roses to sell.

My box of Sculpey and Fimo.

Aren't these cute?

Now, I'm making a flag banner and cut out an extra part from a vintage Wilendur tablecloth. So the first one who says they want it, gets it. Free. Just post here and the very first one who says they want it, gets it. My email comes in by day and time (as everyone's does) so the earlier the better. You can make a banner for your own home with this starter piece. ;-)

Some close ups of my message boards that I call "memory" boards because it's one of my favorite places to hang the things sent to me by friends or members of my ebay group. The rose with the hanging beads are from Bertie of AuntMaysCottage. You don't want to miss this woman's sales on her website. She makes the most exquisite things with vintage wedding gowns.

The little hand painted ornament was painted by Lorena of RoseChicFriends. I have several of her hand painted items as well as a canvas she painted. Just beautiful! Give her a visit.

Just little tags and cards sent to me when I order something over the internet. They do bring me joy and I'm always surprised at the loveliness and generosity of these women.

This is another creation of Bertie's. She spoils me! But the little valentine heart creation is Rhea's of sweetnshabbyroses. She's been very ill for a couple of years now and isn't creating much these days much to the chagrin of those who have purchased her creations. But I do talk to her from time to time on the phone.

More cards and one little one that looks like an evening gown. Isn't that sweet?! I just loved it and knew immediately where it would go.

More cards and tags. I have the privilege of knowing some of the most talented women on the internet. The little red heart is by Lorena also. The pink string hearts are by Shirl of Shirlsrosecottage. She does the most exquisite silk ribbon embroidery.

Lorena also does clay roses that she makes into little pins as evidenced by the little pin in the bottom center left of this photo.

I thought I'd show you my favorite shirt. Orange is my least favorite color but when it was combined with red, pink and fuchsia in this shirt I couldn't resist. You can't see the front but I "embellished" it with pink pockets and ribbon strings. I need pockets in everything I wear, chicks!

Roses hanging over my bed attached to the canopy of netting.

I'm sure you've seen these paper pompoms before but it's pink saturday and I'm showing them again. They hang in 2 corners of my bedroom.
