Black, White & Chartreuse for Pink Saturday 1/1/11

It's another Pink Saturday with Beverly of How Sweet The Sound. Click on the logo below to visit all this week's participants.

I know this is a busy day or maybe just a lazy day for sleeping in but I thought I'd show you more of my favorite rooms from Ethan Allen.

Essence of a French garret. Ooo la la.

Beautiful black and white.

More red and yellow with a bit of black and white thrown in.

Chartreuse! I just love this room color, very bold and beautiful and very elegant.

And the matching bedroom.

The colors in this room remind me of my mother because her favorite colors were orange and green. She would have loved this room I think.

I like this sofa but the room is a bit too modern for my taste. Remember, I grew up with MODERN when it was original in the 50s. I hated it then and still don't like it.

This would make a cute family room for a country house. Just showin' ya some ideas, chicks. Much more to come in the New Year.

And just some beautiful roses boxes I have on my plant shelf. I don't like plant shelves but I'm stuck with them in this house so I must grow to like them. These little boxes were purchased back in the 80s however and go perfectly up there.

  1. I love that four poster bed! Happy New Year Connie! May 2011 be a blessed year for you and yours. Anne

  2. Connie sweetie ~ Wowzers! Gorgeous ... love those RED boxes & I am not a red person ... great choices.

Thank you for your wonderful friendship, look forward to many wonderful moments with you to come, my friend.

I wish you the best of joys, life & loves this New Year.
    Hugs of love,

  3. Loving those boxes, Connie!! Wishing you and yours a Happy and Healthy New Year!!

  4. Happy New Year Connie Sweetie...
I love, love the red boxes, and how beautiful they look on the plant shelf up there. Just gorgeous. I especially love the one with the oriental flair and the red tassel. Oh be still my little heart.

Now give me that four poster bed. Boy is that ever gorgeous. I love it. It is me, Me, ME. I could climb right up in there and go to sleep. Love it.

I am not a big fan of orange and green either, but I have got to tell you, I would SO take the room as well. The plaid and the stripes work so well together. It is a "Happy" room.

I hope you had a wonderful day sweetie. That you are all snuggled in for the night where it is safe and warm. We are staying in for the night. No big celebrations here. Football is on for DH and I am doing a little blogging.

Happy New Year, and thank you sweet friend for all the wonderful memories in 2010. I can't wait to see what 2011 brings to us. Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry

  5. Happy New Year, Dear Connie! I loved all of that Ethan Allen eye candy, and your rose boxes are all so pretty. Thanks for sharing with us.

Many, many blessings to you throughout 2011!

Much, much love to you, sweet one...

    Sheila :-)

  6. Happy New Year Connie!!!!!

Don't you just love that plaid sofa. I also like the tuffed one alot too (4 photo, I think). And that white couch, the fabric looks like the same fabric as my summer comforter.

Hope your not experiencing pain or at least that it's easing off. I wish you all the best of everything in 2011!

    Hugs...Tracy :)

  7. Just dropping by to wish you a truly blessed New Year.

  8. I love seeing new ideas for rooms. I have always wanted a brick wall for a cozy room like the forst photo! Happy New Year Connie:>)

  14. Hello Sweet Connie!
Happy New Year to You and Your Family!
I always get the urge for redecorating after the holidays, the rooms are lovely.
Your boxes are lovely, great color :)

  15. Hello Connie, Happy Pink Saturday and Happy New Year!
    These rooms are beautiful!
I've always loved Ethan Allen Furniture store. It was always my favorite thing to do when my kids were small, we had a store right down the road from us so I always went up there to get inspired.
Pink and red boxes are so pretty!
Have a wonderful and blessed New Year!

  16. Connie, at last I get to comment! I got my laptop back yesterday. First of all, thank you so much for the post about blue and for dedicating it to me! I was so touched and pleased. I tried to leave a comment, but the desktop computer wouldn't let me. Then I tried to email you and the email came back to me as undeliverable. Yikes.

Anyway, I wish you a Happy New Year, my friend. Here's to blue!

  17. Hi Sweetness,

I just wanted to stop by and wrap my arms around you in the beginning of this New Year. You are a wonderful person and a dear, dear, friend. You are a treasure in my heart. I am praying for everyone in your family that this upcoming year is a brighter one. And I'm saying a few prayers of my own. It's grey out today, but I'm sunny inside and that's all that matter.

    All my love,

Comments are so nice and I thank all of you that leave one for me.
