As I've harped on—ooops, I mean said many times before, you can make do with things you have around the house. And since I have a plethora of old frames, I decided to freshen them up with a coat of pure white paint. Now, if the old finish shows through in some places, all the better since I love the chippy look anyway.
Just hot glue some of the roses to a corner or two and it entirely changes the old look to a fresh new one.
Close up.
These two I thought were beyond hope but not so after I painted the frames and let some of the "cracks" show through.
Thanks for your visit...and this is very clever and creative! :D
ReplyDeleteMy favorite frames are old frames. That's what we look for in thrift shops. I like the rose accents on yours.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny that I read this post because I bought some white paint and am planning to paint some shelves that I have been getting at some garage sales for my craft space. However I dont want them to be just white. I am going for that distressed white look. Am going to redo my desks, shelves and stuff too.. Your frames look great and have inspired my to get busy!
ReplyDeleteI came by your blog to introduce myself. My name is Sherry and I am a new Bloggerette Sorority Sister. I have only been blogging for 3 weeks so I missed the rush, but I look forward in joining in on the events to come. I would be honored if you came by for a visit at http://scrappingwithsherry1.blogspot.com/ Hope to see you there!
Take Care~ Sherry
Connie you did a great job with the frames and even added a little frufru. I too have a huge amount of frames and am thinking of taking the glass out and just painting them all white or pink and make little bulletin boards with them until I find some pretty pictures to go in them. Love and hugs, Pat
ReplyDeleteConnie, not sure what happened to my post, but I love the new/old frames and the cute little flowers in the corners. You still amaze me with your talent. Love and hugs, Pat
ReplyDeleteGorgeous frame makeovers with your specialty pretty roses! I absolutely adore the 2nd and 3rd prints ~ who did those? The Keep Calm print is the prettiest one of those I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteLove you,

Very pretty! Reminds me I should go up in the attic and bring down some of my old frames. It's amazing what a little bit of paint can do!
