Happy pink saturday and thanks again to Beverly of How Sweet The Sound for holding this event. Please visit with the other participants and view all the pink items they are displaying. This week I visited with Jenny of The Bird in Boots—she's a new blogger to go welcome her. Then I visited with Brambleberry Cottage and Patti at Fill My Cup with Beauty. Please visit with them if you haven't already.

Now, if you're a regular reader of my blog, you know if I tell you to come back because I'm going to do another "one"—whatever "one" means in different circumstances—then you'd better haul your backside over here again, right? Listen and you won't be disappointed, chicks.

And here is the BIG parasol I said I'd do. I must thank Love Bunny for not getting all tweaked outta shape when I snapped this golf sized umbrella out of the garage to froufrou up. Actually, you can see from the pictures that one rib is a bit bent so he didn't squeal at me at all. Plus, he has a number of other collapsible umbrellas from which to choose. :-o
This photo shows the bent rib. It's the red polka dot and green with pink roses next to it that is bent. No big deal really.
That is super cute Connie! I love the red and the pink. It flirts!

Wonderful! ♥
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness-
ReplyDeletehow on earth did you make that? it is just wonderful! Can you just see me next year at the baseball diamond with my little girls all watching the game under a frilly ribbon & laced parasol? sigh-
I'm going to have to clear my calendar for a day or two when school stats and figure this out...
really wonderful
Hi Connie, OMG girl, LOVE what you did with the umbrella!! Fabulous idea :) Darn, now I will have to go out and find one to "fru-fru" up for me, lol :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, and Happy Pink Saturday to you!
Warmest hugs, Brenda
I kept thinking, this is going to be a parasol, this is going to be a parasol and IT IS!
ReplyDeleteI love the bright colors and you did a marvelous job. I can not imagine doing this...is it lined, too?
Clever, clever you! I love your surprises....
HPS!!!

that is by far the cutest and most clever thing you have made. In New Orleans, for weddings, they decorate one with a Mardi gras theme and the other a bridal and we do what is called Second Line march, kind of like a train going around the room and waving the umbrellas and the rest with hankies. It is so much fun. I should sent you the fabric samples I have to see what you can do with them. I'm sure you will come up with something. Love and hugs, Pat
ReplyDeleteWow, you're so clever to sneak that away from him!! I love the punch that the red gives the rest of the pinks.
ReplyDeleteCan we take it down to the beach and relax under its shade?
you have way to much talent...this is just so so cute, Connie...you need to be teaching classes ....so cute....
ReplyDeleteDeby
Connie, what an adorable parasol...I believe once you dolled it up it shed it's umbrella status! Happy PS!
ReplyDeleteLicks & Wags, Niki
How cute this is!!! Love the fabrics!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous girly girly parasol! And it's so strange, but I have a small scrap of that fabric in pic #5, with the white background and the pink and red roses. I spent all day today going to fabric shops looking for more, because I want to make kitchen curtains with it. Do you by any chance remember where you got it? I hate when you have a particular thing in your head, and nothing else will do. Oh, I hope you remember where you got it!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
Carol
How stinkin' cute is this, sis?!?!
ReplyDeleteOur mutual friend Pat of Urban Chic wants to know if we are REALLY sisters......
Love you,
