Coming Soon...and Random Thoughts

Redo "transformation" coming soon...

a tease of what's to come!

And please remember our fallen soldiers and those who served and are still serving who fought and are still fighting for us to win and keep the freedoms we have in this great God blessed country.

Random Thoughts:

For those of you on PCs, which don't have a forward delete key, just simply use your function key—FN—with the delete key and you can delete forward. Macs have their own key for it, but just wanted you to know so you can use it if you wish. I use my forward delete key almost as much as the backward delete key.

I'm appalled most times by the language we hear—not from men so much—as society seems to have become immune to them using vulgarity, but women. Where did the softness and femininity go? I hear so much come out of the youth's mouths today, young women I mean, that their vocabulary sounds like that of a brothel owner specializing in service to sailors with Tourette's Syndrome.

That brings up another thought. Morality was a primitive concept, useful in earlier stages of societal evolution, perhaps, but without relevance in the modern age for most of the people today. I'm here to tell you: Morality is still the same as it was 6,000 years ago to God. It's the people who have changed the standards. Truth is Truth; Morality is Morality. It didn't change; we did. It saddens me deeply.

It's amazing to me how many people don't read the sidebars. I'm trying my best to clean up my blog on the side so it won't go on forever as seen on some blogs. I'm going to be listing my favorite blogs on one of the new "Pages" blogger came up with a few months ago. I just haven't had the time yet to compose the list. But, I have a new blog for Romantic blogs and so far there have been only 18 people sign up. I think it's mostly that bloggers don't look at the sidebars much. Plus when I list an event on the sidebar that has an ending date, I delete that logo when it's over. Why keep it on there for 2 years? Just wondering.

I've started walking on our treadmill. It's time! But I was a bit bummed the other day when I took a piece of gum Love Bunny keeps on the treadmill for himself and realized I actually could not chew gum and walk. This is true! I was almost thrown off of it.

  1. You are so right about morality. You only have to look at what has gone on in the lives of our so-caled senior statesmen in UK recently. How dare they?

  3. Dittos to all your Random Thoughts Connie!
My 13 year old nephew is of course a boy BUT he's been suspended 3 times already this school year for his language.
And I for one DO read the sidebars :-))
    Enjoy your day!

  5. Connie, your random thought today is very good. Can you even imagine some of the young girls who come from good homes that are using this horrible new language of theirs. My children knew I meant it when I said I would soap their tongues if I ever heard talk like I hear today. I am partly guilty as I too often use the word damn, but not in God's name and my daughter gets furious. It's time for parents to be parents and not friends to their children.

  6. Mr. Decor thanks you for your good wishes. Could you say a little prayer for him? He's currently in Asheville moving his mama to her new home in Tallahassee. He'll return to me tomorrow.

Now, onto the soapbox and vulgarity. Is there room for me to get up there too? As my sweetheart once said, "One of the reasons I adore you is that your mouth does not appear to have been scooped up from the gutter and plastered to your face." I think 8 of 10 gents would agree.

  7. Mmmmmmmmmm.........that is QUITE a tease! I'm anxious to see what you're up to.....I surrounded by LOTS of blue right now....soon to be revealed too! :-)

Yep, I agree.....I can't believe some of the language I hear when I'm out and about, sometimes by young mothers to their children. Don't they know that's what they're teaching their children?

Have a wonderful day as we honor our service men and women....

    Huggies,

  9. Hi, Connie, you said it all so well. I am very concerned about the immorality in our world, and I especially am concerned for my little grandchildren. I have put them in God's hands, and I pray for them daily. Thank you for remembering our service men and women and the great sacrifices they have made. A special thank you to your husband for his service. Caroline is a living doll. I know how proud you must feel. Enjoy your week, sweet friend~ Vicki

  10. Connie, have I told you lately that you are such a .... TEASE!!

I so agree with you about todays vulgar language and lack of morality. Guess the near nakedness in clothing would go into that category, too, huh?!?

My toes are hurting (you stepped on them), so I'll start cleaning up my sidebar tomorrow!! :0)

    Love you,

  11. Connie, I am so glad you said all of the things I have been thinking!!!
I thought maybe I missed a blog rule on the old sidebar links....I remove things as soon as they are over too and I thought I was the only one.....then I thought I was doing something wrong. So glad you said that you did too, I'm not crazy after all.
as for the language of the young girls...I was upset one day and went to say something to a young girl's Mom, but then the Mom used the same word.....good grief.
    Hugs,
    Margaret B

  12. First, how's your gorgeous Caroline doing? Have you seen her yet?

Can't disagree with a word you share on morality ...

I love your new blog, yes I saw it & read about it, but I am soooo all over the place with so many presentations & issues I don't know that I would fit your description to join. It is a wonderful idea, Connie.

I'm always telling Mr.Dept911 that he can't walk, talk & chew gum ... you are sooo funny cute!

    Have a beautiful week.

  14. Hey Connie!
Girl, I got lost here as I was trying to catch up with you.
I was laughing hysterically at the post about the no!no! You are so brave to post that, you did a wonderful job and your legs are gorgeous for their age...don't let anybody tell you different! ;)
Then I see your new grand and she's gorgeous :)
Then I read about your "new" studio and I can't wait to see it for the party!
But I had to stop here and leave a comment about the side bars and parties and such. Maybe I'm sticking my two cents in when it's only worth half (if that) but I don't like messy side bars and I really don't "do" the parties. Yes, I agree they are fun, but the parties and giveaways have gotten out of hand with the demands that in order to play or enter, one has to become a follower, etc. Just ridiculous. I have cleaned up my side bar...and it's still not enough. I plan to move my favorite blogs in "my favorites" folder like they were in the very beginning so I don't feel pressured into leaving a comment on everyone's post every time they post. I just can't do it...I do have a life, a job and a family...I don't know how some of these bloggers do it! whew!
I love to visit when I get a chance and when I do, I love to sit and catch up and soak it all in instead of being in a rush.
You've always inspired me Connie, you are indeed Living Beautifully :)
