Bedrooms 11/30/09

Let's look at some lovely bedrooms today since it's a holiday weekend.

Isn't this lovely in its English countryside feel? What a joy to see that old trellis used in such a way.

A tad formal in its elegance this bedroom could be home to a courtly gentleman or a ranch out in the west.

A lover of plants must live here, but for me, it would have to be faux plants as I kill just about anything I try to water.

An English author resides in this bedroom. Very simplistic.

A retired ballerina resides here and even has a barre with which to practice on every day. Lovely...and not at all "put together" by an interior designer. The owner's taste definitely shows through in this room.

I love this look but my ceilings aren't tall enough to establish the look. My bed, however, looks very much like the bed...sans the poster frame.

Since we lived in the San Francisco Bay area, this scene is very reminiscent of our home there. Rain on the windows and plants just outside the door are a very common scene for that area.

  1. Loved this post Connie, and loved your thoughts on each person who sleeps there. Have a great week!

  2. Good Morning Connie...
So beautiful. Thanks for sharing this morning. I think I love them all.

I would take any one of them, but that rancher one sure does tug at my heart. Love it.

Ofcourse I somoehow knew you would love the one with the open canopy and the pink flowers entwined around it. How did I know that?

Have a beautiful day sweetie and thanks so much for sharing.

    Country hugs...Sherry

  3. OH~~~~~~ They are all so beautiful! I have a confession, my bedroom is so ready for a decorating update, or I should say it needs to me decorated period! Thank-you so much for the pictures, they will motivate me.

  4. Hi Connie -

Happy Monday to you. I love all the photos, but the first one with the trellis is especially lovely!

  5. Connie I want number 3 please.

I could just imagine having that room, wow its gorgeous.

    Have a wonderful Monday

  6. Hey Miss Connie,
ouuuu I love all the beds but if I had to choose a favorite I'd do the plant bed without so many plants..... :-)

Miss Emma LOVES her lil apron...
    Thanks again dear friend!

    Hugz, Dolly

  7. Hello Connie, we are home from our Thanksgiving day and football game trip and I have started my Christmas decorating. It is a slow process. Note to self...No decorations on the floor. Puppy power!!!

I love the different bedroom designs and some of them are really special. I have pretty much decorated my bedroom the way I like it. In others words it is done!

I loved your pink Sat. post and text. I really enjoy reading your posts. Your insight for men is right on!!! I love my guy too but sometimes...

I have had trouble with typepad and I hope it works out. I couldn't post anything until late today. Sigh!

It is good to be home.

    Hugs, Jeanne

  8. Great post, Connie! I love seeing pictures of homes & these are gorgeous! Your home is gorgeous, too!

  9. Oh so lovely. I like so many of them. Some remind me of what C.S. Lewis may have had for his bedroom. Thanks for sharing. Kathi

  10. Pretty, pretty bedrooms Connie. I would definitely sleep in any one of these beauties.

  11. That last one makes me want to curl up and take a nap!

Wish I had about 25 bedrooms as I love to decorate them most of all.

Some real beauties here, my dear.

  12. I love those bedrooms but my fav is the one with the desk beside the bed, just my style.

  13. Hi Connie, This is my first time visiting you. I took a look at your living room pictures in all it's Pinkness... so pretty. In fact I have those same window panels in my master bathroom. Made a balloon shade out of it. I also have the coordinating striped panels for the master bedroom. I actually did a tutorial on them. I Still have to show the bathroom window tutorial... maybe I get to that soon.

Oh, I also saw the plate with the Petit Fours. Are they real or faux? My blog banner shows all my "Faux Goodies".

Comments are so nice and I thank all of you that leave one for me.
