These dresses aren't made by the great couture houses of europe but by ordinary women here in the U.S.A. who wanted to learn how to do it for their own wardrobes. Each one was made for themselves to wear. Magnificent! See what you can do by making your own clothes when you know the techniques. Aren't these gorgeous?! I think they're absolutely beautifully stunning!!!!

Love them dresses, Connie and that Random Thought, LOL funny!
ReplyDeleteThere is something very special about making your own clothes. I used to make all my childrens clothes but now that they are teenagers they only want store bought clothes... pity.

I love the polka dots and all the ruffles. Makes me wish I knew how to sew! And yes, I believe Carl, Jr might be the offspring. Or maybe it's Ronald McDonald - creepy as he is! Happy PS!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful and I especially like the last one.

Hi Connie,
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to meet you sweet lady! You are so kind to come by and leave such a nice message.
I really appreciate it very much. You're always welcome!
I had left you a comment concerning your son and the horrible ordeal a few weeks ago. I read that he was a former Marine and it just made me so sad.
I pray that he is recovering well and justice was served.
He's been in my thoughts and prayers ever since you told us.
Have a wonderful and blessed weekend my friend.
~Warmly, Melissa :)
Please come back to visit me anytime!
Not too many Marine connections out there and I know you understand everything about it. :)
Oops! I forgot to tell you the dresses are amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteThere should be a ball somewhere to dance the night away. You could be the bell of the ball in anyone of this.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Candy
~Happy Pink Saturday~
ReplyDeleteIt is like turning back the clock seeing those dresses on your blog. So lovely.

well crappola...my stupid computer won't download the pictures. ARGH! I'm guessing they are much more beautiful than the clothes my mom made me when I was in school. Although I have to admit she made me some pretty fine prom dresses. I'll have to check back when my computer isn't spazzing out!
ReplyDeleteThey are all stunning but that last one is just delicious!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!

ReplyDeleteI used to love to make my own clothes- in fact I made my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses plus several others for our wedding. My oldest son was asked to be a ring bearer in a friends wedding and it was going to cost $100.00 for his little tux so I made him one and it was so cute!!

ReplyDeleteThose dresses are fabulous! Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteWow, what wonderful dresses. I used to sew for my daughter and gd, but have put that aside for only craft sewing. I am still searching the thrift stores for my Senior banquet dress from Seventeen magazine, but so far no luck. Thanks for dropping by with your wonderful words of comfort. I have been praying for your son and glad to know he looks so much better. Love the story of the potty stop. Love and hugs, Pat
ReplyDeleteOh Connie, they are beautiful, Happy Pink Saturday and I have to think about the Carls Jr. question, Char
ReplyDeleteSpent last night making something special for the little ones...using vintage trims of course...but unfortunately not pink. :(
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Pink Saturday Connie.
Love the pretty dresses!!!!
ReplyDeletePraying your son keeps improving.
Cool dresses, though I think the only one I'd actually try/wear is the black and pink polka-dotted ensemble. It's been years since I've sewed actual clothing. I should put that back on my list of things to do. I'm really wanting an "Donna Reed" dress, petticoat and all. Oh hum, someday...
ReplyDelete~Stacey
P.S. I'm glad Love Bunny is doing better! Geez, what a month you two have had.
Connie, I do love the designer dresses. Stunning is right. Nice pink today.
ReplyDeleteI hope your son has improved. I haven't kept up, but my prayers have been constant.
Hugs...Jeanne
Loving the ruffles particularly! The last dress is incredible.
