This is my 2nd painting of my bird's nest with the roses. This painting business must have driven Monet and Van Gogh absolutely nutsy!! Anyway, I may give this one away since I haven't been able to sell anything on ebay yet. I wonder if I cut off my left ear would it help to become famous. Or maybe I should wear a silly little hat while painting. Of course, I'd look a bit silly since I'm indoors! Any suggestions??? I think I like this one better than the last one though. Next one coming up is chicks and roses! Hah, I'll bet you just can't wait, right?!?!?! Riiiiight?!?!?!?
I think you are doing better than you think you're doing! lol Are you taking any kind of class? Are you self taught? I struggled with painting the One Stroke method for years until I went to a class. My instructor was very good-(read, patient and long suffering!)Other than that, read many paint books. My instructor has shelves and shelves filled to bursting with books including books on perspective. I have found many helpful art books at my local library. Art is like writing. To be a good author you must read. To be a good painter, you must study other people's work. Keep going. You're doing great!
I really wanted to be beautiful and sexy but got stuck with being humorous and shapely instead. My dream job is Tech Writer. Yes, I said Tech Writer. I am a techie! Such is life. But I am truly a blessed chick. I left the corporate world of California in 1991 to live a more serene lifestyle and haven't regretted it for one moment. I have been married to the same man since 1961. We have 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-granddaughters. I live my life in exclamation points!
I love blogging and sharing thoughts on life, my life, ramblings and gorgeous photos. There are no politics on this blog. I speak of my religion sometimes but that's it for religion, and there will never be ads on here. I want this blog to be a serene and celestial place for you, my readers, to enjoy and rest from the frantic pace of the world. I hope you do so with all my heart. I also have a huge amount of eye candy on here. I'm rarely boring.
