Visiting with Granddaughter and Family

First of all a word about Google getting rid of Google Friend Connect on March 1, 2012.

This will not affect Blogger accounts. It will affect your blog if you're doing Wordpress. Wordpress and maybe even Typepad but I'm not absolutely positive about it. Right now it looks like Typepad will not be affected but don't quote me on that. Wordpress, at least, will no longer be given the codes to allow GFC to work on their blogs. Those of you who have Google Friend Connect on your Blogger blog have no need to worry about it; it will still work on your blogs. While some prefer to keep their Wordpress, I'm sure there is a way to bring it over to Blogger if you prefer to use Blogger to keep the GFC. If you prefer to not use Blogger and stay with your current blog, you can get other applications if you'd like: a Facebook page just for your blog or Networked Blogs. Personally, I've always preferred Blogger. It's much easier and user-friendly. I've always used the Old Editor as the New Editor is much glitchier. I can usually tell immediately which editor a blogger is using.

Welcome once again. I hope you've enjoyed the last few posts. I'm in Washington visiting my granddaughter and her family. Miss Caroline will be featured on posts shortly. Our great granddaughter is growing so fast I can't believe it.

There is no rhyme or reason as to how I post the photos. As I've said, there are over 1,100 of them to show you. I mean I have really and truly scouted the internet the last several days looking for photos to lift your spirits. So don't expect a post on gardens or rooms or flowers or weddings or food; just look, dream, get ideas, relax and enjoy. I've done all the hard work for you! But it has truly been my pleasure. I didn't even load all the ones I've seen, just being very selective as to what I like and thought you'd enjoy it also. If not this blog, then wait for the next ones. I think I can promise you that you'll enjoy them. I'll feature a variety each time. I have photos of roses, fruits, homes, gardens, European streets, vignettes, walkways, kitchens, food, bedrooms, yards, rustic, elegance, just anything and everything. My imagination ran wild.

This looks like a sun room. I cannot tell if it's outdoors or indoors but with the vines growing I'm guessing it is outdoors with a cover over it. Quaint though.

Can we say a gypsy or bohemian bathroom? That's what it looks like to me, but I'm loving the lace-covered walls.

This little tent absolutely stole my heart. I'm not ambitious enough to make one but what a joy it would be to have this on a camp out. This couldn't possibly be a doghouse, could it?! Ooooh, I hope not. Just too danged cute.

Pink Saturday 2/3/2012

As I promised a few days ago, here are more lovely photos for you to look at as you just sit and dream and relax. All will bring pleasurable thoughts to your mind as you peruse them. Day Dreaming 2/2/2012

I did promise you photos, didn't I?

This is my daughter's hand and her new engagement ring. While it may look like she was rolled in Doritos making it look like a fake tan, I can assure you she is not. She lives in California and is an avid gardener and it was taken with her iPhone, which does not give the best photos.

Anyway, if you read this blog, you know she's been widowed for almost 2 years now. She met a nice man online about 6 or 8 months ago and they're getting married. It's a pink diamond and very gorgeous. She's like me in that she likes pink also.

This is a photo of another blogger who lives in North Dakota and is married to a farmer. When I saw her wedding gown I gasped. While she is a cutie, that is absolutely the most stunning gown I've ever seen. It is also very modest. See, you don't have to show most of your body to be stunning. But I won't go on and on about modesty.


Can you imagine a ruffled cake for your wedding? Isn't this adorable?

I think I'm doing to immediately decoupage a few wooden hangers I have. These are so cute!

Now this is a message board! I doubt that even I could fill my messages boards this elegantly and I'm very good at it.

This wreath could hang anywhere in my house all year long. It's not Christmas-y, just girly.

This is a wreath I made and it does hang on my red front door.

Oooooooh, how cute this is. I am definitely going to have a luncheon of that chicken salad on croissants soon for a few friends.

I only wish I could do this on our patio, but it is much too small. However...some evening this spring I'm going to plan a picnic for hubs and me as a surprise and try to replicate this scene.

Day Dreaming 2/1/2012

I would like to celebrate this post because it's #1,100 post. I am nothing if not tenacious.

I absolutely do have these little hanging paper globes and pompoms around my house. Some are in my bedroom. One is in the family room and several are in my office and craft room. They are paper. They are cheap. They add pizzazz to any room. They are cute. I like them immensely. You could do this over a tub or even a toilet. Yes, I said toilet! I have decals on my toilets' tanks.

My bedroom is dark and it's very difficult to get a good photo unless it's early in the morning when the eastern sun shines in, but this is a white pompom in there...

and this is the little birdcage I made and attached to the end of it.

I put a pink one in my office. It is behind me when I'm sitting at this desk. I added curling ribbon. It's a very feminine room.

I've done this in some of my rooms a few years ago. Just paint some cheap picture frames and stack them against a wall.

This is an emergency kit for lovers of pink. Break it out and just stare at it until the blues go away.

I have some shutters like these. I painted them white and added roses decals.

They are in my home office on the wall behind me.

Intoxicating comes to mind when I view this little scene.

If only........

Sighing...

I have 2 old drawers smaller than this that hold papers and such. I think I'll hang them on the wall and use them to hold things in the bathroom.

Okay, go. I mean GO and make something special of this day for yourself and if it includes someone else, so much the better. A phone call from my dear friend lifts me up like nothing else can. Do it! Take someone's breath away today. :-) And then...have a cupcake. ;-)
