Fruit Salad with a Beauty Tip with Update

I love fruit salad! I could eat this whole bowl by myself but Love Bunny loves it almost as much as I do. Years ago I made this for a dinner and the guests turned their nose up at it because they didn't like maraschino cherries. I couldn't believe my ears. Not like maraschino cherries?! That was so foreign to me. But hubs told me that different people have different tastes. I had assumed since my taste buds love all the ingredients that I put into my fruit salad that other people would love that taste also. In mine I put navel oranges, apples, pineapple and maraschino cherries.

I saw this beauty tip somewhere recently and thought I'd share it with you. It might look better on younger faces but the tip was to only apply mascara on the outer lashes to achieve a "doe-eyed" look. I'm not sure I've done it here but you might try it. I think it does make my eyes look wider though. Easy tip to do.

Caveat: these 2 photos were taken with 2 different cameras.

Okay, my sweet little chicks, an update on Boots No. 7: I loooooove it! In just a few short weeks I've seen a dramatic difference. On the left side of my mouth was a wrinkle-y area. I started using the No. 7 and that has truly changed. I'm sorry I can't provide better photos but the second one I took outside this morning and cropped. Yessss, there is definitely a reduction in the wrinkle and it's only been 2 weeks of using it. I wish they had both been captured with the same camera but I sold it. Just trust me, this is great stuff and so inexpensive.

  1. Hi Connie, I love maraschino cherries...short story,I sent my husband to get me a small bottle of them to put on cupcakes and I only needed 2 dozen..He brought me a huge bottle (ugh)...I thought they would go to waste....no,no,no, not in my house...I tell you they were like popcorn....LOL! gone in less than a week!!! I like any kind of fruit salad but especially on those hot summer days when nothing sounds good for dinner...it's perfect. I'm going to try the mascara idea too. Have a nice Wednesday! Hugs, Jennifer

  8. I know I love the cherries in my fruit salad too but have been in the same situation with visitors. I ask, what's not to like about the maraschino cherries?

Sure hope they weren't invited again, 8-)

  18. I've been known to eat entire jars of maraschino cherries all at once, then savor the juice, too! Funny about your pretty "Doe Eyes". My friend's dear mother used to call me the little doe-eyed girl at church! We have lots in common, sista!

How is the craft room coming? Looks like our gameroom!!
