New Pink and White Stripe Curtains!!

Okay, I lied. I wanted these pink and white stripe curtains—actually, they're more a cream color as you can see—and I have a lot of discretionary income this month and decided to treat myself. But first hubby had to get new eyeglasses. Then I was on a roll! :-) It's looking like more things may be in my future. Looking for pillows. Maybe I should wait until I get the new sofa. Hmmmm.

Of course, they look much better in person than in these photos.

Love Bunny cut some fresh roses for a bouquet today. He really is good with roses.

Closeup of a gorgeous rose.

This chicken coop belongs to my friend, Stacy. She built it herself. She's multi-talented mom. She's also a professional photographer and got a huge job recently doing the corporate photos for Big Al's new family entertainment center coming to Meridian. Sixty six thousand square feet of eating, bowling, family arcade, sky boxes, three dining areas and a viewing screen 15' x 55' for games. She almost fainted when she got word she had the winning bid. I have more faith in her than she does!

This small bedroom is adorable.

A small kitchen with a lot of pizzazz.

A tiny bath made cute and workable.

I just love the colors of these kitchen items. Very cheery.

I don't think I would ever have thought of a dresser in a living room but I really like this idea.

A small cottage by a stream in the woods.

Sighing.

Pretty eye candy window/balcony.

I so want this!

Is this the cutest bakery you've ever seen? I wish we had one around here. I truly do. Idaho is so far behind other states in this sort of thing, but we are getting a lot more upscale things here. I think it's the influx of Californians coming over to escape the high taxes. That's why we moved here.

Living Rooms

I've come up with some living rooms while searching for ideas for a new sofa. Just some thoughts today.

Slipcovers are fine and I love them but I'm wanting a formal, classical look, which my living room is right now. I'll always love the classical look.

I'm really in a dilemma deciding on loose back cushions or tight tucked back.

I love this arrangement of a living room but mine isn't conducive to this layout. It is so much easier to converse with people instead of having everything facing a television. I used to visit a woman that had 2 sofas and a recliner lined up almost side by side in her living room. By the time I left there my neck hurt so bad from trying to talk with her I never wanted to go back. She had every seat in that room directed towards the television. We don't have that problem since we don't have a TV but I sure wish people would take heed how tiresome that is and how bad an arrangement that is in a room.

This is a darling sofa but would that fabric last a long time for us is another question.

While charming and cute, I doubt hubs would like it in our living room. I don't think I'd go for it in there either. Too busy. I do kind of like it though.

A rest from all the sofas!

Egg photos seem to be in this year.

I'm not sure where one thing begins and ends in this room. But that much wallpaper would send me over the edge.

Cute cubbies for small things.

Aaaahhhh, sereneness. ;-)

Cute area on a back porch.

Lovin' this desk and the froufrou around it.

Oh, yeah, I could live with this in my backyard for sure.

I don't know where this coast line is but I've never seen so many pink flowers blooming anywhere.

A clean, crisp beautiful white entry.

My Day at Joanns Fabrics

If you read about my trip to Joanns a few days back, here is what I bought that day. It just felt good to go in and buy some things I've been wanting! First, a feather boa.

Remember this lampshade I did a few years ago and just moved from the family room to the living room? Well, take another look below.

Seeing a recent lamp with feathers on it gave me this idea for the bottom of the shade instead of a piece of scrap lace.

I like this much better.

And all it took was part of a feather boa glued around the bottom.

At night with lights on.

Smiling. :-)

Cute

Also this is the bucket I bought to hold my wrapping paper. I may paint it white, however.

I found this little straw dispenser on their 70% off aisle and snatched it right up for a few dollars. Score!

These darling ice cream dishes for about $2.00 each were a plus since we got the new ice cream maker and have been making ice cream 2 or 3 times a week.

Miss Caroline wasn't forgotten. I bought her this plate for when she comes to visit Nana.

I bought 3 boas just in case I have something else to decorate with them.

I think this little cottage along side the road is adorable.

Would you look at this cute apron?

Gonna celebrate my shopping day with cupcakes!

Laundry Rooms 3

Just look at the different things you can add to a laundry room to jazz it up a bit.

Starting with laundry area storage. I like the way this homeowner has displayed her lovely items and the wallpaper on the inside of this cabinet and lace trim along with it, much like I do in my laundry room.

Bright and sunny, small and compact and perfect!

A little froufrou never hurts either. ;-) Love the ruffled laundry bag, which is available at Urban Outfitters if you're intereted.

Elegant laundry in a basement-type area.

I think I've shown this one before months ago on my blog but it definitely deserves a second look.

Pop of red color helps out this tiny area.

Darling and nostalgic. Lots of cute momentos and lace.

An unusual color but very pretty.

Another unusual color done cute.

An easily done vignette for a laundry room. Cheap also is my guess.

This has to be in a basement because of the high window and the drain on the floor for flooding. But look how cute they made it and not dreary for the lady of the house to work in.

This has to be a favorite of mine because of the bright red color. Well done!

This has most of the elements of a room I'd like to work in.

Lots of storage here.

Stainless steel appliances with old rustic metal wash bins. Lots of ambiance in this room.
