Another Blog Award to Pass Around

I am messing up so badly with my post because I can't even remember what day of the week I'm in!! I posted my "Pink Saturday" on thursday thinking it was friday for saturday. Then when someone told me of my mistake I tried to correct it and messed it up even more! DUH!!!! Sorry. :-)

But I received another award from Pat and have to give it to "share the love"!! Thank you, Pat. I'm always stunned that someone would think me worthy of anything like this. My intention is to bring joy, humor and beauty to all. I hope I succeed in doing that.

So here are the "rules" and my 7 chicks to give it to. This is getting harder and harder since it goes around several times. Forgive me, my sweet chicks. I promise you it will be worth it in the near future though!! I have something special planned not too far down the line here that you'll be thrilled to be a part of..... PROMISE!!

Rules

1.Display logo and link to who gave it.

2.Nominate at least 7 blogs.

3.Add links to those 7 blogs

4.Leave the nominees a message that they received the award.

What Disease Is This????

The strangest thing has happened! Has anyone else experienced this?

You have a problem using knives in someone else's kitchen because you can't even cut YOURSELF with them and you're definitely a "cutter"!

You can't find any dishes clean or for that matter, any dishes at all!

Since you have no experience with the tv because you don't watch it at all, you cannot get the one in the motel room to function and you're too embarrased to ask them as you had to have help getting in the room with the card the day AFTER you used it once. Apparently I'm viewing "unusable signal or you don't have a card to view this" as something I should be watching, hmmmmm????

You feel like you car is your 2nd home running to pick up hubby at the convention center so he doesn't get picked up as a "homeless" person or get mugged in the seedy part of Riverside. Why do they hold conventions in places like that???!!!

You yearn to sleep in a different bed - YOUR OWN.

You look at the fridge and wonder where you're going to put all the "stuff" to go in there. Plus there is stuff in there you're sure came over with the pilgrims or at least 5 generations back!

You go out for milk, come home and it's "not the right kind"!!! HUH????

You want your pillow badly and feel like you're sleeping vertical with the motel one.

You believe you'll pop anyone who is below the age of 10.

You've eaten food you have no idea what it's composed of.

The dogs bark and look at your leg as though it could be tonight's dinner.

Your hands are prune-y from washing dishes from about 15 different meals during the day.

You wonder what you were thinking when 47 years ago you wanted "children"!

You've watched commercials from the most intimate things and personal hygiene(!) to weiners needing psychoanalysis.

You can't find the remote because the kids have hidden it because you tell them you cannot abide one more episode of cartoon network, Wylie Coyote or Spongebob what's his name!

You have no desire for pizza because you've seen it on the tv so many times as you've passed the tv that you wanna wretch.

You would KILL for your HOME internet!!!

You make strawberries and shortcake for kids and look inside the fridge, find 2 cans of whipped cream (full!!!) and neither one shoots out a thing......much less whipped cream........sob......sob.......sob........

You have enough food in the fridge for the entire U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton (which is somewhere around 40,000 husky good looking marines- hooooah!) but no one sees anything in there they want to eat unless there are chocolate chips in it so your son runs to Del Taco for nachoooooos. Sigh..........

The relatives visiting from overseas have crammed in 3 shopping trips in one day. I've never even done that one!

Salad isn't in anyone's vocabulary. Say whaaaaa, Nana?!?!

Has anyone ever ever heard of using a glass a 2nd time?!?!?! Nuuuuuuuuuuu, apparently not!

You take them to a local pool and the kids behind us have the mouths of the hardened criminals at San Quentin and that's the ones 6-8; the teenage sister had barely enough to cover her mammary things on her boobs and earrings in her lips and you're truly glad your hubby isn't around to see her or hear the language!

Daughter in law has run away from home! Ooooh, please come back for me!!!!

Last Pictures of The Red Barn

I've finally edited all the pix of the photos from that antique shop. Enjoy. Just look because I have no descriptions for anything, but it was a neat place to visit. More regular posting tomorrow or maybe tonight.

Other Side of Our Family

We have other family visiting from Asia this week while we're here also. My daughter-in-law is Alice and her mom lives here with her, my son and their boys. Her sister, Mirna and Mirna's daughter, Leslie and Leslie's hubby, Benedict are visiting for a couple of weeks.

Here is Etienne with her Dad, Benedict, who is thinking of moving over here to U.S. We're certainly glad they decided to move over.
This is absolutely not a quick process by any means but it gives you some idea of the intensity of people wanting a better life for their children. Leslie is an obstetrician so she'll be giving up a lot just to move here. To continue to be a doctor here would mean she'd have to go back to school and start ALL OVER to be a doctor in the U.S. - start from scratch, the very bottom! They want to come here because all of Leslie's siblings and grandmother are here. Her mom, my DIL's sister is already wanting to move here. It's a hard decision but they want to be with all the family. So when I hear people decry the U.S., I then always ask why do so many people want to come here?

Leslie and I were talking this morning about this for about an hour in the kitchen and her eyes got HUGE, lit up and a huge smile came on her face when I asked her the question. She said it is everyone's dream to live here plus she wants to be near her siblings and her mom will move here too. But this is why America is here - for people to thrive and bless this nation and have a better way of life for their children. I'll post pix of Leslie when she and her mom return from "shopping"!! LOL But look at that sweet little gorgeous face!! Wouldn't it be wonderful to her to be an American too?!??!! All of our family from Asia have become U.S. citizens.

The Red Barn Purchases

I've been slow to add all the pix because of the downloading to laptop, editing and uploading to the blog. I'm sorry it is taking so long but here are my purchases and some other things. Read on, my sweet cherubs.........

My son and hubby deciding whether to buy an old USMC saber. They decided it was a replica and not an original. So it didn't get bought. Both were in the Marines.

Isn't this chair cute? It was a toss up between this and another one. The other one won out!

I actually loved this booth above most of the others. She was more my style but the others were lovely also.

The little chair with the wreath and chicken wire seat is the one I bought. It included the wreath and cost was only .....squeeeeeeallllll.....$26.00!!!! Yes, her stuff was so nicely priced.

More of her stuff. I could have filled my car with her treasures!

I also bought the cute little vintage pix on the left. I loved it also.

The 2 men in my life besides daughter's hubby. Aren't they handsome?!?!? Well, I think so!

More of her little treasures. That little wicker desk was adorable but it just wouldn't fit in the car. She had a pink polka dot fabric under the glass top. It was only $125.00, too.

The rest are some other booths in the store. I asked them if I could take photos and they looked at me kind of strange. I told them I blog and would put them on my blog, mention the store's name and they'd get some good publicity! They graciously agreed. I took many pix but just too many to post, my sweet chicks. So just enjoy.
