Good morning, sweet chicks. I'm taking a break for a few more days because I fell on our icy driveway going out to the mailbox on Saturday. Yep, ol' light foot did it again. I landed on my right hip this time flat on my back again but didn't hit my head. I truly didn't even realize the concrete was icy. I'm guessing my left arm caught me because it hurts from the elbow area to under my armpit. ;-) I'm fine but still can't lift the arm to scratch my neck. I'll be back in a few day, but in the meantime, lift your spirits with this lovely eye candy I have for you. Today is a bright sunny but windy day here.

Oh goodness! I do hope you are okay! Rest and take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your spill. I remember when the worst part was the embarassment...at my age now, I don't care who sees me as long as I didn't break something or need stitches!! I hope you mend quickly!
ReplyDeleteOh Connie,
ReplyDeleteRest, ice your sore hip and get better soon!
Warmly,
deb
Oh Dear. What a terrible thing to have happened Connie. My own Mom did the same thing just about this time last year but she wasn't quite as lucky as you as she broke her hip and ended up in the hospital for a few days having hip replacement surgery. She's just fine now though thank goodness. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Kim

Rest up sweet Connie. You are very lucky you didn't whack your head in the process. I hope you are not feeling too bruised today.
ReplyDeleteGentle hugs ~ Kerryanne
OMGosh...I sure hope you mend quickly. Those nasty falls are horrid to the bones..Please be careful, black ice is the worst evil..
ReplyDeleteLove,Love, Love..that first post picture..what is it on?
Dear Connie, I am so sorry to hear about your fall. Don't take a step outside without thinking about falling. Our bodies can't take a fall at ahem, our age. It could have been worse as you say, but the pain in your arm should be watched. I too slipped in the snow but since it was very deep and I fell sideways I wasn't hurt, just mad!!! HA!
ReplyDeleteTake care and rest up.
Warm hugs, Jeanne
Ouch Connie, just read you comment on Rheas blog.
ReplyDeletePoor thing hope you are soon feeling better

Connie sorry to hear about your new fall. I do hope you get some rest and you will be back later to give us some great things and words of wisdom. Love ya, Pat
ReplyDeleteOkay dear Connie ~ I am going to make you a snowsuit out of bubble wrap to keep you safe!! I did the same thing last month, slipped and fell on my back and hit my head. Didn't cause any harm I don't think ~ but then how could anyone tell? It could have caused some mental confusion or it just could be another one of my "blonde moments"!
ReplyDeleteLots of love,
Susan and Bentley

Mercy!, my friend!! Do take care of that injury, hope it heals quickly.
ReplyDeleteIt was one of our more lovely trips to Europe to spend time in G'ma Maggie's birth place ... Ireland. What a trip that was. Did you cross the Vee? Beyond ones imagination the beauty your eyes behold. We did the whole country ... fabulous greens to behold that one cannot imagine. I lived in Hawaii, not impressed, took 10 years to go back after living there 3 yrs. just a nice short vacation place.
Great post ... prayers for quick healing.
Have a beautiful weekend ~
TTFN ~
Hugs, Marydon
